How to add a soundboard to your stream
January 17, 2026 · 4 min read
A soundboard is one of the fastest ways to add personality to a stream. The tricky part is usually making the sound play through your speakers AND onto the stream. Here's how to do it without audio-routing headaches.
The audio-routing problem
Most soundboard tutorials involve virtual audio cables and complex OBS routing. StreamPad skips all of that: it plays sounds through your PC's default output, which OBS's Desktop Audio capture already picks up. You hear it, and so does your stream.
Adding your own sounds
Drop any MP3 or WAV into the sounds folder, or upload straight from your iPad — the sound appears on your deck instantly. Sites like myinstants.com have every classic meme sound; download and add them in seconds.
Tap to play, hold to delete, and a STOP ALL key kills everything mid-clip if a bit goes long.
StreamPad's soundboard plays to you and your stream with zero routing. 30 minutes free daily.
